초록

본 연구는 미용관련학과 대학생들을 대상으로 메타인지가 자기주도 학습능력을 통해 진로탐색행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 즉 본 연구는 미용관련학과 대학생들이 계획, 모니터링, 평가로 구성된 메타인지가 자기주도 학습능력을 통해 진로탐색행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 서울, 경기, 충청권 미용관련학과 대학생 253명을 표본으로 하여, SPSS ver 19.0과 AMOS ver 19.0의 통계프로그램을 이용하여 실증분석을 하였다. 즉, 본 연구는 탐색적 및 확인적 요인분석을 통해 본 연구의 변수들의 신뢰성과 타당성을 확인하였으며, 구조방정식 모형분석을 통해 가설을 검증하였다. 실증분석 결과 대학생들의 메타인지의 구성요인인 계획, 모니터링, 평가가 높을수록 자기주도 학습능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자기주도 학습능력이 높을수록 진로탐색행동의 구성요인인 직업탐색과 자기탐색 모두에게 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 미용관련학과 대학생들이 자신들의 진로를 탐색할 때 중요하게 고려해야 하는 요인들과 관련된 연구들에 이론적인 기초를 제공함과 동시에 미용관련학과 교수 및 교직원들에게 효율적으로 학생들의 진로를 조언할 때 중요시해야 하는 요인들에 대한 실무적 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

Abstract

This study examines effect of metacognition on career exploration activity through self-directed learning ability among cosmetology students. In other words, this study plans to review the implication of metacognition, comprised of planning, monitoring and evaluating, on career exploration activity through self-directed learning ability among college students majoring in cosmetology. To this end, empirical analysis was conducted among sample of 253 college students studying cosmetology in Seoul, Gyung-gi and Chungcheong Province using statistics program such as SPSS ver 19.0 and AMOS ver 19.0. This study confirmed reliability and validity of variables through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and verified hypothesis through structure equation modeling analysis. Empirical analysis reveals that high metacognition, comprised of planning, monitoring and evaluating, has positive influence on self-directed learning ability among college students. In addition, this study confirmed that when self-directed learning ability is high, component factors of career exploration activity, such as career exploration and self- exploration, are all affected. The result of this study provides theoretical basis to researches related to factors that are important to consider when cosmetology student explores their path, at the same time, wishes to offer practical implication to cosmetology professor and teaching staff on considerable factors when counseling student’s career path.
