전기회로 과제에서 초등학생들의귀인성향에 따른 인지갈등과 개념변화

이 연구의 목적은 초등학생들의 귀인 성향과 인지갈등, 그리고 귀인성향과 개념변화 사이의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 서울지역의 초등학교 6학년 232명의 학생들이 연구에 참여하였다. 이 학생들 중 전구의 직렬연결과 병렬연결 과제에서 전구의 밝기와 관련하여 오개념을 갖고 있는 학생들에게 불일치 상황을 제시하여 인지갈등 검사, 성공실패 귀인 유형 검사, 사후 개념 검사, 시간 지연 사후 개념 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 성공실패 원인을 노력으로 돌리는 학생들이 능력이나 운, 과제의 곤란도로 돌리는 학생들보다 더 높은 수준의 인지갈등을 경험하였고, 더 높은 과학 개념변화율을 보여주었다. 이러한 특성은 과제의 난이도가 상대적으로 높은 병렬 연결과제에서 더 뚜렷하게 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서, 과학교사가 인지갈등 전략을 활용할 때, 인지갈등 해결에 관한 성공과 실패의 원인을 내적으로 통제 가능한 노력 요인으로 돌릴 수 있도록 촉진하는 활동이 필요하다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between elementary school student attribution tendency, cognitive conflict, and scientific conceptual change. 232 6th grade elementary school students in Seoul participated in this study. In this study the degrees of cognitive conflict were assessed for students who had misconceptions regarding the brightness comparison of bulbs in parallel and series electric circuit problems. These students also took an attribution test, a posttest, and delayed posttest to investigate attribution tendencies and conceptual changes. The results of this study indicated that students who attributed successfailure to efforts rather than to ability, luck, and difficulty of problems showed a higher level of cognitive conflict and conceptual change. These features were well illustrated in the problem related to bulbs in parallel, something more difficult than the problem in series. Therefore, this study conceded that when instructors use cognitive conflict strategies, they need to lead students to attribute their successfailure to efforts that are internal and controlled.
