비대면 온라인 실습을 경험한 간호대학생의 임상실습 스트레스, 의사소통 능력 및 임상수행 능력의 관계

연구배경: 본 연구는 coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) 로 인해 비대면 온라인 실습을 경험한 간호대학생의 임상실습 스트레스, 의사소통 능력 및 임상수행 능력 수준을 확인하고 이들 간의 관계를 파악하고자 시행되었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 간호대학생의 임상수행 능력을 증진시키기 위한교육 프로그램 개발의 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 방법: 본 연구의 자료 수집은 2021년 10월 4일부터 10월15일까지 부산광역시 소재 부산가톨릭대학교 간호대학에재학 중인 학생으로서 COVID-19로 인해 비대면 온라인실습을 경험한 3, 4학년 111명을 대상으로 수행되었다. 연구 도구는 임상실습 스트레스, 의사소통 능력, 임상수행 능력 측정도구를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계, independent t-test, one way analysis of variance, Pearson’s correlation coefficient로 분석하였다. 결과: 비대면 온라인 실습을 경험한 간호대학생의 임상실습스트레스는평균2.49±0.53점, 의사소통능력은평균4.01±0.43점, 임상수행 능력은 평균 3.80±0.56점 으로 나타났다. 또한 비대면 온라인 실습을 경험한 간호대학생의 임상수행 능력은의사소통 능력(r=0.62; P<0.001)과 통계적으로 유의한 양의상관관계를 나타내었다. 결론: 이상의 본 연구 결과를 토대로 비대면 온라인 실습을 경험한 간호대학생의 임상수행 능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 의사소통 능력을 증진시킬 수 있는 교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용이 필요하겠다. 본 연구는 부산가톨릭대학교 간호대학 재학생을 대상으로 함에 따라 결과 해석에 신중을기해야 하므로 후속 연구에서는 대상자를 확대하여 관련 변인을 파악하는 연구의 필요성을 제언하는 바이다.
Abstract
Background: This study aims to investigate the relationship between clinical practice stress, communication skills, and clinical performance of nursing students who have engaged in virtual online practicum due to coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19). The findings will serve as foundational data for developing education programs to enhance nursing students’ clinical performance. Methods: The data were collected from 111 third- and fourth-year nursing students at a nursing school in Busan Metropolitan City who experienced virtual online clinical practice due to COVID-19, from October 4 to October 15, 2021. Instruments to measure clinical practice stress, communication skills, and clinical performance were used. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one way analysis of variance, and Pearson’s correlation coefficients. Results: Among nursing students who have engaged in a virtual online clinical practice, the mean clinical practice stress score was 2.49±0.53, and the mean communication skills score was 4.01±0.43. The mean clinical performance score was 3.80±0.56. Clinical performance was significantly positively correlated with communication skills (r=0.62; P<0.001). Conclusions: Based on these results, it is important to develop and implement education programs that enhance communication skills in order to improve clinical performance in nursing students who have experienced virtual online practice. As this study was conducted on nursing students at a single school, interpretation of the results requires caution. Thus, future research should recruit a larger study population and identify relevant variables.
