본 연구의 목적은 놀이지향적 감각운동이 자폐성장애학생의 운동능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 있다. 연구는 12주간 진행되었으며 대상은 서울시 강남구 A특수체육교실에서 체육수업을 받는 자폐성장애학생으로, 놀이지향적 감각운동 프로그램에 참여한 경험이 없는 중학생 24명(실험집단 12명, 통제집단 12명)으로 구성하였다. 본 연구 결과 놀이지향적 감각운동 프로그램에 참가한 자폐성장애학생 중 실험집단 12명의 운동능력(민첩성 및 협응력, 평형감각의 숙련도, 반응력의 숙련도, 움직임 속도, 움직임의 정확성 및 조절)이 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 소근육 운동의 숙련도에서는 유의한 차이가 없으며 또한 통제집단에서도 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과들은 놀이지향적 감각운동이 자폐성장애학생의 운동능력에 긍정적인 영향을 준 것으로 나타났으며 본 연구방법은 자폐성 장애 학생의 운동능력을 객관적으로 검증할 수 있는 놀이지향적 감각운동 프로그램임을 보여 주었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to recognize athletic abilities of students with autism who participated in the play-oriented sensory motor program. This research was in progress for 12 weeks, and the target of this research was students with autism who took a special exercise class, located Gangnam-gu, Seoul, composed of 24 junior high school students (experimental group 12, control group 12), and nerver participated in play-oriented sensory motor program. The results of this study show that athletic abilities(agility and coordination, proficiency of equilibrium sense, proficiency of reaction force, movement speed, movement accuracy and control) of the experimental group students(participated in the play-oriented sensory motor program) were enhanced. However, the proficiency of the fine motor coordination were not enhanced, and were not in control group either. The result of this study shows that play-oriented sensory motor program gave a positive impact on the athletic abilities of students with autism, and the methods of this study were to be verified athletic abilities of students with autism objectively.
