Abstract
Best practice in service delivery system of adapted physical activity should be informed by current research findings. However, traditional research methods are not always geared to address some of the complex and individuals questions that arise in adapted physical activity intervention because of small sample size, large variability, lack of standardized tests, and difficulty to generalize the study results. Based on criticisms of using the statistical significance tests as the sole criterion for evaluating the overall significance of research findings, the article explores several recommendations for evaluating and reporting research findings such as reporting effect size and establishing a larger alpha level.
