Timed Up and Go(TUG)로 측정하였다.

Abstract

This study was to verify the effects on physical performance, balance and mobility by the creative dance for the elderly with physical disability. The study was designed as a single group pre-post-comparative study. Participants in the study are 25 women aged 65 years and older, who have physical disability. The creative dance program was conducted for 90 minutes, twice a week, and a total of 24 times during 12 weeks. Physical performance was measured by Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB), balance was measured by the BBS (Berg Balance Scale), and mobility was measured by Timed Up and Go (TUG). For the measurement data, the corresponding sample t-test was performed for verifying the mean difference in the pre-post examination. The analysis showed that total points, walking speed and lower leg strength increased significantly after death in body performance, total points increased significantly after death in balance, and movement time significantly decreased afterwards in mobility. Thus, the physical performance, balance and mobility of the elderly with disabilities improved after participating in creative dance. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that creative dance programs can be a new physical activity that can prevent and manage the double health difficulty of the elderly with physical disability in advance.
