Abstract

This study aims to provide meaningful information for preventing doping of athletes with disabilities by verifying the structural relationship of anti-doping intentions by applying the extended theory of planned behavior(ETPB) to predict anti-doping intentions of Korean elite athletes with disabilities. Through the convenience sampling method, study subjects include Korean elite athletes with disabilities registered in the Korean Paralympic Committee as of 2022. This study used a total of 300 questionnaires for the final analysis and data were analyzed using by SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 program. First, in the confirmatory factor analysis, it was confirmed that the ETPB was suitable. Second, autonomous motivation was confirmed to have an effect on attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control. Third, controlled motivation was confirmed to have an effect on attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control. Finally, attitude and perceived behavioral control were confirmed to have an effect on anti-doping intention, but the subjective norm was not confirmed to have an effect on anti-doping intention.
