Abstract
This is to study national textbooks for elementary schools in the early founding days of People's Republic of China. 1950 edition of Xinhua Bookstore and PEP(People's Education Press, Renminjiaoyu Chuhbanshe) edition of 1952～1954 belong to the major materials for analysis, which are different from those afterward matched with Socialism. The Chinese Government was still claiming to stand for New Democracy(People's Democracy) rather than Socialism. The original intention of the writer was to describe 1) the formation process and its sense of national textbooks in PRC, 2) the characteristics of the Yuwen curriculum in the whole Primary School Curriculum of the early PRC days, and 3) the major value system presented in Yuwen textbooks. But space limit forced him to cut the third part off to another publication when allowed.
