<金甁梅> 속 여인들의 性과 사랑의 윤리- 欲望의 倫理學, 그 가능성에 대한 탐색 -

Abstract

This paper is to be classified the ethics of the sex and love of women in Jin Ping Mei 『金甁梅』, and through this, looked at the possibility of establishing the ethics of desire. To that end, we first examined the socioeconomic background and an ambivalent views of desire of the time when a work called Jin Ping Mei was born, which plainly describes desire for sex and money of human being. Jin Ping Mei reflects the economic and sexual desires of the merchant, the bureaucrats and women class, who grew up with the development of the commercial economy in the Ming danasty. It also reflects the discourse situation of the time when both positive and negative about desire coexisted. On the other hand, the emergence of Jin Ping Mei provided an opportunity to stimulate and promote and to critically reflect the sexual and economic desires of the people of the time. According to this article, among the women of Jin Ping Mei, Pan Jin Lian 潘金蓮 and Pang Chun Mei 龐春梅 are a person who are faithful to desire and have come to ruin, Li Ping Er 李甁兒 and Song Hui Lian 宋惠蓮 are person who fall into desire at first but repent desire later, and Wu Yue Niang 吳月娘 and Wang Liu Er 王六兒 are person who have different directions but are consistent with desire and ethics. Each of these people lives, for its own reasons, in different situations, realizing their own desires with different desires and inner ethics. Such advocacy of the diversity of different human beings is a basic precondition for a full affirmation of human desire. Also, if one's desire threatens one's or another's life, this is the minimum threshold at which the desire should stop. Personal desires should be pursued to the fullest extent possible on the premise of mutual understanding and empathy among the parties seeking them within such limits.
