This paper is the work of tracing in detail what political struggle process the Chinese literary discourse originated in right after the Cultural Revolution. This study targets literary discourse from 1976 when Mao Zedong died to 1983, when the ‘Spiritual pollution removal campaign’ broke out, specifically it include the establishment of the concept of “New-era literature,”, “discussions surrounding the Scar literature”, “literary tool theory” and the concept of “humanistic literature”. Through the discussion below, this study aims to establish that the process of the formation of New-era literature is a process in which Chinese literature deviates from the strong political interrelationship.
Abstract
