국내 학부 통번역 교육과정 현황 고찰

This study examined the curriculum for undergraduate interpretation and translation programs based on the information posted on the websites of 16 programs. The programs reviewed include 9 different languages: English (6), Japanese (1), Chinese (2), Korean (1), French (1), German (1), Malay-Indonesian (1), Arabic (1), Italian (1), and Thai (1). The curriculum was categorized according to competence, declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge. Regarding a technological turn in an interpretation and translation field, the study identified that classes for instrumental and technical competence such as machine translation post-editing (MTPE) have been introduced into the curriculum of two programs. External factors including market demands, new work environments and new paradigms as well as internal factors including the organization and management of the department, instructors and learners also can influence undergraduate curriculum design. A continuous research on the curriculum is required in order to fit into the changing educational and social environment.
