현충탑의 조형적 특성과 구성요소에 관한 연구

현충탑은 나라를 위하여 싸우다 숨진 희생자의 영령을 추모하기 위하여 설치된 시설물이다. 특히 방문을 위한 일반적인 기능시설 이상의 비중을 지니는 상징물이다. 또한 그 현충의 이미지를 결정짓는 얼굴의 역할과 지역을 대표하는 공공성을 지니고 있는 조형물로서 현충탑의 기능적 측면뿐만 아니라 차별되는 상징성을 추구하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 최근 들어 현충시설의 국민이 즐겨 찾는 명소로서의 육성 등 현충시설에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는데, 이러한 시점에서현충탑과 주변시설에 대한 연구는 바람직한 현충시설이미지 환경을 위해 반드시 이루어져야 할 과제라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 경기도 각 시,군에 산재해있는 33개 현충탑의 현장조사연구와 설문조사를 통하여, 현충탑의 9가지 유형분류와 5가지 형태적 특성, 상징적 특성 그리고 현충탑 주변시설을 분석하였으며 그 구성요소의 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 이를 통해 현충탑이미지 조성에 영향을 미치는 현충탑과 주변시설을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 현충탑은 현충의 상징적 의미를 가지며 주변 환경과의 조화성을 강조하는 것이 당연하다. 둘째, 현충탑 주변 시설은 지역사회와의 공존을 강조하는 조형성으로 디자인하여야 한다.
Abstract
Memorial monument is a structure to admire distinguished services of war veterans that they fought for freedom and peace. It is a structure that means more than general facilities. And also, as a sculpture, it emphasize the characteristic facets of participated countries as well as its’ publicity and unique symbolism. Recently, the ideas of memorial monument are changing as we exchange culture. And they want to make memorial facilities as visitor friendly parks. In accordance, at this time, I think we need to research on environmental fact of memorial facilities. Therefore, I made database of 33 memorial structures with 9 characteristic types and 5 unique shapes of memorial structures in GyeongGi-Do and also analyzed adapted facilities of those structures. This was presented by memorial monument and surrounding facilities affecting memorial monument image composition as follows. First, memorial monument is natural to emphasize harmony with the surrounding environment has a symbolic meaning of memorial monument. Second, memorial monument surrounding facilities shall be designed in Formativeness highlighting the coexistence of the community.
