인간중심적 사회문제 해결을 위한 디자인씽킹 수업모형 연구: ‘코로나19’ 프로젝트를 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to lay the theoretical foundation for preparing a systematic teaching model for design concept and social responsibility and role of the design. Therefore, this study proposed a design thinking class model for human-centered social problem solving conducted by four-year design universities, and conducted a case study on this. The subjects of study are four basic undergraduate design classes at H University and C University. The temporal research scope is the first semester of 2020, and has been conducted for a total of 15 weeks, 3 hours per week. The research method of this study is as follows. First, through a literature study on the social roles and responsibilities of design, the importance of the sense of social participation in design was confirmed, and the necessity of systematic design education for this was stated. Second, the design thinking concept and the IDEO design thinking process used in the case study were investigated. Third, a design-thinking class model was proposed to foster students' sense of social responsibility, and the “Corona 19 Project” was analyzed step by step as a case study. The analysis results are summarized as follows. First, it was possible to know that the awareness of the design has been expanded, and that the awareness of the social responsibility of the design has been gained. Second, it was found that the students realized the importance of collaboration and communication with the members through the group project. Finally, students learned that they were able to experience the human-centered design process through this class. In the future, based on the model proposed in this study, we look forward to continuing research on basic design education.
