Abstract
There is a need for research to induce continuous development and research in the textile field after the post-coronavirus. The purpose of this study is to focus on the changes in consumption trends and design roles newly developed in accordance with changes in the natural and social environments at home and abroad in the Corona 19 era, and to provide basic data for setting the direction of the textile field in the post-corona era and for future research by exploring trends and revealing the prospects. The research method was a combination of literature search and case study. The study results are as follows. 1) By comparing and analyzing domestic and foreign consumption trends, keywords were presented as on-tact, personal multi-space, ethical consumption, and daily infection prevention. 2) The change in the role of design means that design is not pursuing aesthetic value as a consumer product that satisfies individual consumption needs, but is fulfilling its social responsibility through sustainability and strengthening of antibacterial and quarantine functions in consideration of social and environmental aspects. was confirmed. 3) It was found that textile companies pursue sustainability by developing eco-friendly products by using technology that considers the environment in the manufacturing process such as material production, dyeing and processing, and by improving consumer awareness by developing high-quality recycled products. 4) It was confirmed that research on the development of clothing materials using natural and metal components for antibacterial function is active. 5) It has been found that products with antibacterial properties are also increasing for personal hygiene and immunity in home interior products. I propose the following implications by synthesizing the research results. First, attention is paid to the use of waste as a textile material by recycling it. Second, with the pursuit of antibacterial functionality, research on new textile materials using natural materials and metal materials will increase. Third, the antibacterial properties of textiles used for health and medical purposes will be actively reflected in apparel and home interior textile products.
