Abstract
Existing literature on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) indicates the possible interaction effect between CSR and Perceived Quality. The present study tries to focus its attention on this interaction effect. Two different outcome variables, satisfaction and trust, were investigated and two types of corporate, public vs. private, were introduced as a moderating variable. The analysis reveals that the interaction between CSR and perceived quality influences customers' satisfaction for private firms and trust for public enterprises. The shape of interaction resembles that of two factor theory and heuristic theory respectively.
