Abstract
In today's competitive market environment, corporate social responsibility (CSR) represents a high-profile notion that has strategic importance to many companies. Although research evidence suggests that a corporation's socially responsible behavior can positively affect consumers' attitudes toward the corporation, it is not clear which CSR activities affects consumers' corporation evaluation depending on context. This research tests empirically two conceptual models(social issues involved and social responsibility categories) to investigate the relationship between CSR activities and customers' evaluation toward the corporation using data from 537 customers. Finally, results offer important implications for marketing practice.
