Abstract
For businesses, the release of new products is a natural act for the survival of the business and for the continuous efforts of the company to meet the diverse needs of consumers. From the corporate perspective, the successful existing product will continue to generate revenue while the new product will be more successful than the existing one. It is also true that companies are working hard to develop new products and make more choices on when to launch them. In this study, the effects of actual sales of existing products and new products were estimated through the analysis of the difference between actual sales volume and estimated sales volume of existing products by predicting sales volume of new products without ARIMA analysis method. The classification of products was largely classified as expensive and low-cost products and the analysis results in more self-infection effects in high-end products than in low-end products. This indicates that customers who buy expensive products are more sensitive to new products than to the sensitivity of prices, and that the conversion of new products to them is faster than the low price. When launching new products in the future, a marketing representative is advised to set a time to release new products based on signs of declining sales of existing products and plan to release them in light of variety of categories in low and mid-priced products.
