Abstract
Most donations stimulate emotion and arouse sympathy. In other words, it stimulates guilt and leads to donation behavior. However, repeated advertising of guilt causes people to feel tired. Donation is not a heavy subject. Even if they do not approach the same form of guilt, the path to donation is large and wide. Donations can be fun and pleasure. There are many times when a proud heart for doing a good job makes you feel better. The perception that donations are easy and fun can make people more willing to donate. This study suggests that there are two types of pleasure accumulation and guilt reduce as a way to enhance donation. In some situations, it suggested that the accumulation of pleasure is more effective and that the reduce of guilt is more effective. The research results were presented through experiments. As a result of the experiment, people with independent self-construal more donations from a self-oriented perspective than from a other-oriented one. However, for those with interdependent self-construal, donations were higher in presenting from a different other-oriented perspective than from a self-oriented one. From a self-oriented perspective, the donation was higher when presented as a pleasant message rather than as a guilt message. However, from a other-oriented perspective, the donation was higher when presented as a guilt message rather than as a guilt messages. Pleasure accumulation messages were more likely to contribute in people with independent self-construal than those with interdependent self-construal. However, guilt-reducing message was more likely to contribute in people with interdependent self-consrual than in people with independent self-consrual.
