Abstract
In this study we investigate how Koreans disambiguate two types of syntactically ambiguous sentences. When native speakers of English produce left vs. right attachment type and particle vs. preposition type of sentences, they use phrase boundaries and word stresses to disambiguate the ambiguous meanings of the sentences. We found that Koreans could not disambiguate these types of ambiguous sentences using phrase boundaries and word stresses regardless of their English proficiency.
