육사 생도의 스포츠활동 참여와 자아존중감 및 셀프 리더십에 관한 연구

이 연구는 육사 생도의 스포츠활동 참여에 따른 자아존중감과 셀프 리더십에 차이를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구는 화랑스포츠리그에 참여하고 있는 육군사관학교 생도를 대상으로 779명(남학생 708명, 여학생 71명)을 분석에 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구문제에 따라 스포츠활동 참여에 따른 자아존중감과 셀프 리더십의 관계를 알아보기 위해 빈도와 백분율 그리고 상관관계를 알아보았다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 개인적 특성에 따른 검증 결과, 성별, 학년별에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 첫째, 자아존중감은 체력수준이 낮은 경우에 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 셀프 리더십은 체력수준이 높은 경우에 높게 나타났다. 그리고 셋째 긍정적으로 자아존중감을 인식하고 있는 경우, 자기목표설정, 자기보상, 자기관찰, 자기단서, 자연적 보상, 성공적 수행 상상하기, 자기대화, 그리고 신념과 가정분석에 정적인 상관관계를 보였으며, 자기처벌에 대해서는 부적인 상관관계가 나타났다. 또한 부정적으로 자아존중감을 인식하고 있는 경우에는 자기목표설정, 자기보상, 자기관찰, 자연적 보상, 성공적 수행 상상하기에 대해서는 정적인 상관관계가 나타났으며, 자기처벌에 대해서는 부적인 상관관계가 나타났다.
Abstract
This study analyzed self-esteem and self leadership for KMA(Korea Military Academy) cadets participated in sports activity. Participants were 779 KMA cadets (708 males, 71 females). For data, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis were conducted. Results of one-way ANOVA indicated that male students showed a higher scores in self-esteem toward sports activity than those of female students. The lower grade students showed a higher scores in self-esteem toward sports activity than those of the upper grade students. Female students showed a higher scores in self-leadership toward sports activity than those of male students. Results of correlation analysis revealed self-esteem perceived by students were strongly related with self leadership, when their perception toward sports activity was high. In conclusion, these findings suggest that KMA cadets’ positive self-esteem and self-leadership contribute to enhance the level of participation in sports activity.
