위기의 교회론과 목사직 -마태의‘제자담론’을 통한 신학적 성찰-

한국교회는 지난 수십년간 성장위주 목회와 선교의 부산물로 교회론적 위기를 경험하고 있다. 목사를 양성하는 신학교육시스템은 수적으로나 질적으로 통제하기 어려워지고 교회의 핵심적 직제는 혼돈에 처하게 되었다. 이 글은 이러한 교회론과 목사직의 위기를 마태복음의 제자담론을 통해서 신학적으로 성찰함을 목적으로 한다. 마태는‘내포적 이야기’라는 수사학적 담론방식으로‘교회됨’을 말하고 있다. 마태의‘내포적 예수이야기’란 역사적 예수와 열두제자들의 이야기에 마태의 독자들 혹은 공동체의 경험이 투영되어 있는 문학적 서사개념이다. 마태의 파송강화(9:3611:1)의 주제는 선교가 아니라, 세상으로 파송된 예수제자공동체가 따라야할 제자도에 대하여 말하고 있는‘제자담론’이다. 교회는 예수가 위임한 제자도를 행함으로 교회가 된다. 그 제자도의 본질은 예수가 겪었던 가난과 고난, 박해와 죽음의 길을 가는 것이고, 그 표지는 예수의 사역의 요약인‘선포와 치유’를 행함에 있다. 그러므로 교회란 이를테면, 공동체의 구조나 직제와 같은 규정과 제도로 표현되는 외적인 삶의 형태에 의해서가 아니라, 예수가 위임한 하나님의 뜻을 행하여 예수를 따름으로써 교회가 된다. 동시에 목회자 혹은 목사라는 직제의 본질도 그것의 외적인 삶의 형태에 있는 것이 아니라, 그리스도를 따르는 제자의 소명과 사도적 직무를 수행함에 있다.
Abstract
Over the past few decades, Korean Church has experienced ecclesiological crisis as a results of byproducts of the pastoral and mission practices orientated in growth. The uncontrolled theological education system caused also to the crisis of the office of minister. It is the propose of this article to provide a theological introspecting into these crises by researching the Matthew's socalled ‘mission discourse’ 9:3611:1. Matthew teaches us how the church becomes church by telling a ‘inclusive story’ as the narrative mode of a rhetorical discourse. Matthew’s inclusive story inoculates past and present. The former shows an inclusive the story of historical Jesus, in the latter includes the experiences of Matthew’s community. Matthew’s concern in the mission story is not on the mission itself, but on the discipleship. So it is a kind of discourse about the discipleship. According to Matthew, a church becomes a true church by doing the discipleship. It is the essence of discipleship to follow Jesus who has experienced poverty, suffering, persecution and death; A notice of the Church is to do the same things which Jesus has ministered: ‘proclamation and healing.’ The church does not become church as owning a kind of special statements represented by rules and institutions, but becomes insofar as she does the will of God in following Jesus. A notice of pastor as an office of the church is not the external form of his life. But the internal essence of pastor is presented by performing discipleship and the apostolic duties.
