보수기독교 내 젠더인식과 젠더문제에 관한 연구 - 성경적 페미니즘의 필요성을 중심으로 -

본 논문은 가부장적인 보수기독교 내 젠더 인식과 젠더 문제를 푸는 접근방식으로서 ‘성경적 페미니즘’의 필요성을 제기하려는 연구이다. 진보적인 여성신학자들에 의해 기독교 페미니즘과 젠더 문제 등 다각적 연구들이 이루어져왔음에도 본 연구주제를 선택한 이유는 보수기독교에 속한 여성신학자에 의해 성경적 페미니즘 연구가 이뤄지게 된다면, 페미니즘에 대한 오해를 불식시키고 젠더 인식의 변화를 도모하는 접촉점이 될 수 있길 바라기 때문에서다. 제2장에서는 가부장적인 보수기독교 내 젠더 인식 수준과 젠더 문제는 무엇인지 페미니즘과 젠더 연구의 관계, 보수기독교가 페미니즘을 거부하는 이유와 부정적인 영향을 살펴보았다. 제3장에서는 성경적 페미니즘이란 보수기독교 내 ‘주체성과 대표성을 지닌 인식론적 관점의 여성의 성경 읽기’라고 정의를 내렸고, 성경적 페미니즘의 해석과 기독교 페미니즘 성서해석과의 차이점을 다뤘으며, 성경 속 젠더는 어떻게 나타나는지 하나님의 형상과 젠더 정체성 관계 속에서 살폈다. 4장에서는 성경적 페미니즘의 성경해석과 보수기독교 내 가부장적 성경해석에서 젠더인식의 차이를 슬로브핫의 딸들(민 27:1-11), 레위인의 첩(삿 19-21장), 사마리아 여인(요한복음 4: 3-30)을 중심으로 비교, 평가해보았다. 5장에서는 4장의 연구결과를 토대로, 젠더정체성과 젠더역할, 성차별, 성폭력, 결혼과 이혼이라는 젠더문제에 적용해보았다. 결론으로, 현대사회에서 페미니즘과 젠더는 성경을 읽어내는 '필수 코드’이며, 젠더정체성과 역할, 성차별과 성폭력, 결혼과 이혼과 같은 젠더 문제는 더 이상 여성 개인의 문제가 아니라, 인권과 정의의 문제요, 인간성 회복의 문제로서 성경적 페미니즘의 필요성을 밝혔다. 성경적 페미니즘의 과제로는 첫째, 성경적 페미니즘 신학의 정체성을 확립해야 하며 둘째, 보수기독교 내 소외분야인 페미니즘 성경 신학과 젠더 신학 연구의 초석을 마련하고 셋째, 보수기독교에 속한 신학교에서 ‘젠더와 교리’, ‘젠더와 신앙’, ‘젠더와 민주주의’, ‘젠더와 사회’ 등과 같은 과목을 개설하고, 사회적 책임을 위해 미래 지향적이고 포용력 있는 남녀파트너십 모델구축에까지 나아가야 할 과제가 있음을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This paper aims to address the necessity of biblical feminism as an approach to solving gender problems in the Korean Conservative Church. This study choses this topic because the study of biblical feminism by a female theologian in the Conservative Church will serve as a contact point to dispel misunderstanding about feminism and to change gender awareness. In chapter 2, it examines the relationship between feminism and gender studies, including reason why conservative church rejects feminism and its negative effects. In chapter 3, it defines that biblical feminism is "the reading the Bible of woman in an epistemological perspective with subjectivity and representation." Also, it looks at the relationship between the image of God and gender identity. In chapter 4, it compares and evaluates the differences between the gender recognition in the biblical feminism and patriarchal biblical interpretation. In chapter 5, based on the results of chapter 4, it applies to gender issues such as gender identity and gender role, gender discrimination and sexual violence, and marriage and divorce. In conclusion, this study presents that feminism and gender in contemporary society are 'essential codes' for reading the Bible, and that gender issues such as gender identity and role, gender discrimination and sexual violence, marriage and divorce are not a matter of individual women, but of human rights and justice, and of the restoration of humanity. The task of biblical feminism is first to establish the identity of biblical feminist theology secondly, to lay the foundation for feminist gender theology thirdly, to move forward to build a future-oriented and inclusive gender partnership model for the realizing of social responsibility.
