Abstract Multicultural Situation of Korea and Formation of A New Mission Paradigm Chang, Sung-Jin Institute for Christian Culture of Korea, SoongSil University In the glocalism, Korean government received migrant workers from 15 countries with MOU and faced the situation of international marriages to overcome both divorce rates and low birth rates of Korea. Moreover, Korean people feel interest, fear, and hope by the experience of other cultures and migrants which they never came in contact before. In the respect, there are a number of professional institutes or NGOs relating the multiculture enterprise. Among them, there are NGOs which were from various religions to participate in positive mission works. In this point, we need the missiological research of Korean multiculturalisation; present states of migrants in the World, Multicultural policy of Korean government, the activities of Korean NGOs, the present issues of religious NGOs for migrants ect. Through this research, how can we have a turning point for world mission under the Multicultural situations? Now, a lot of Islamic, hindu, and buddhist migrants are, by themselves, coming to Korea where are 20% Christians of Korean people. This opportunity is amazing to Korean churches. To convert the existing paradigms of Mission in Korea, firstly, we have to the evangelism of 'bread' to that of 'caring'. Secondly, it could be individual evangelism to group one. Thirdly, Korean churches direct a sound way of Multicultural policy in the Korean society in that migrant Christianlisation should be rooted in both Korean Christian culture and their own ones by the process of indigenisation and contextualisation. Finally, the migrant Christian community must be resident community rather than strongly religious one to prohibit the conflicts of both their own religions and Christianity. For doing the proposals, I expect that Korean churches can play a vital role in forming multiculture which means compromise and harmony of Korean society, 'others to one'.
