Abstract

The size of the unemployment problem in our society, which extends to adults and the elderly, is increasing. Until now, the unemployed or reemployed vocational training has focused on the quantitative part, but the qualitative research on the process of vocational training is practically limited. In particular, as the dropout rate in vocational training is increasing, the systematic diagnosis of the cause is urgent. One of the causes is that the counseling process for vocational training is poor. Although it is important for trainees, the counseling about the occupation is important, but the intimacy and adaptation to the vocational training itself are important. In this study, the interviews were conducted with the executives who are planning and conducting the vocational training process. Since vocational training is a 'cultural transition process' to an unfamiliar learning site, it is necessary to emphasize this point in the vocational training counseling process. There must be a variety of educational considerations and support to ensure successful completion.
