유아기 자녀를 둔 가족의 건강성 증진을 위한 의례 기반 컨설팅 연구

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 가족의 가족건강성 증진을 지원하기 위하여 액션러닝 기법을 활용하여 의례 기반 가족 컨설팅을 실시하고, 유아기 자녀를 둔 가족의 의례 활성화 과정을 이해하며 가족건강성의 향상 효과를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 P시에 살고 있는 유아기 자녀를 둔 두 가족을 대상으로 2020년 6월 15일부터 2020년 9월 17일까지, 2023년 1월 28일부터 2023년 5월 12일까지 가족별로 각각 12회기의 컨설팅을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 컨설팅은 액션러닝 절차에 따라 부모가 문제해결의 주체가 되어 가족의 문제 진단 - 해결방안 구안 및 선택 - 실행의 과정으로 진행되었다. 혼합방법연구 설계에 기초하여 질적 자료와 함께 가족건강성에 관한 양적 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족의 의례 활성화 지원 컨설팅 과정에서 우선, 가족의 문제 발견 및 공유로 유아의 부적응 행동, 부모 공동양육에 대한 동상이몽, 부모의 ‘자기 찾기’와 ‘양육자로서의 삶 찾기’의 딜레마, ‘가족의 시간’에 대한 현실과 이상 간의 괴리와 같은 범주로 도출하였다. 다음으로 가족의 의례 활성화 지원 컨설팅을 통해 가족의 아침 의례, 식사 의례, 취침 의례, 양육파트너로서 부모 간 상호작용 의례, 주말 의례에 대해 컨설팅을 통한 변화가 이루어졌다. 둘째, 컨설팅을 받은 실험집단은 가족의 전체적 건강성과 가족구성원 간의 유대, 의사소통, 가족의 가치체계 공유 등의 하위요인에서 통제집단에 비해 유의한 향상 효과를 보였다. 본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 가족의 건강성 증진을 위해 일상생활 속에서 발견할 수 있는 의례에 기반한 가족 컨설팅 연구를 처음으로 시도했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to conduct ritual-based family consulting using action learning techniques to support the promotion of family health among families with infant children, to understand the process of ritual activation among families with infant children, and to examine the effects of improving family health. To this end, two families with young children living in P city were selected and 12 consultations were conducted between June 15, 2020, and September 17, 2020, and between January 28, 2023, and May 12, 2023, for each family. The consultations in this study followed the action learning process, with parents as the main problem-solvers, diagnosing family problems, designing and selecting solutions, and implementing them. Based on a mixed-methods research design, quantitative data on family health were analyzed along with qualitative data, and the results are as follows. First, during the family ritual revitalization support consulting process, family problems were identified and shared, resulting in the following categories: maladaptive behavior of infants, parents' dreams of co-parenting, parents' dilemma of "finding self" and "finding life as a caregiver," and the gap between reality and ideal for "family time. Next, through consulting to support the activation of family rituals, changes were made to the family's morning rituals, meal rituals, bedtime rituals, interaction rituals between parents as parenting partners, and weekend rituals through consulting. Second, the experimental group that received the consulting showed significant improvements compared to the control group in the overall health of the family and subfactors such as bonding, communication, and shared family value system. This study is significant in that it is the first to attempt a family consulting study based on everyday rituals to improve the health of families with young children.
