한국과 체코 전통 인형극의 비교문화적 분석과 초등음악교육에서의 활용 가능성

본 연구는 한국과 체코의 전통 인형극을 비교문화적 관점에서 분석하여 초등 음악 교육에서 문화 간 이해와 소통을 증진할 수 있는 방안을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정은 예술을 통한 문화 이해, 표현, 창의적 사고력 함양, 문화 간 비교·이해의 중요성을 강조한다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 첫째, 한국과 체코 인형극의 문화적 차이는 무엇인가, 둘째, 전통 인형극은 교육과정 성취기준과 어떻게 연계될 수 있는가를 주요 연구 질문으로 설정하였다. 사례연구 방법을 적용하여 필자가 수집한 현장 관찰, 워크숍 참여, 내러티브 인터뷰, 문서 및 영상 자료 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 한국과 체코의 전통 인형극은 인형 조형, 연행 구조, 음악 활용, 관객과의 상호작용에서 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 한국 인형극은 감정 표현과 참여 중심의 교육 활동에 효과적이며, 체코 인형극은 서사성과 예술적 구조를 바탕으로 감상 및 창작 활동에 활용될 수 있다. 이러한 비교문화적 접근은 전통 인형극을 수업 자료로 재해석함으로써 음악 교육의 내용과 방법을 확장하고, 세계시민교육으로 학생의 문화다양성 이해, 감성·창의성, 세계와의 소통 역량 함양하는 데 기여할 수 있다.
Abstract
The 2022 Revised Korean Music Curriculum emphasizes cultural understanding, artistic expression, and creative thinking. It highlights the value of traditional arts and the importance of intercultural comparison and understanding. Accordingly, this study sets the following as its main research questions: First, what are the cultural differences between Korean and Czech puppet theater? Second, how can traditional puppet theater be connected to the achievement standards of the educational curriculum? Korean and Czech puppet theatre developed in different historical and cultural contexts. They differ in puppet design, performance style, use of music, and audience interaction. Korean puppet theatre encourages participation, improvisation, and emotional connection. Czech puppet theatre features strong narratives, artistic detail, and structured music use. These differences can enhance students’ emotional, expressive, and creative abilities. Students learn to respect cultural diversity and communicate through art. Traditional puppet theatre supports integrated, intercultural learning aligned with the 2022 curriculum goals.
