Abstract

This paper surveyed the articulation of Korean language subject hereafter KLS) between the Kindergarten and 1st grade of Primary school. Two versions of questionnaire were developed, and total 174 Kindergarten and Primary teachers participated. As a result, the articulation between the K and 1st grade was average level. However, half of K and Primary teachers don't understand clearly each others curriculum contents. There were no systematic career education about articulation during teacher education. Co-development of the Kindergarten and Primary curriculum, and activation of teacher in-service education were preferred as the strategies for improving articulation. Related the beginning literacy instruction, most of teachers preferred to include it both of the Kindergarten and primary curriculum, and teach it from Kindergarten to Primary school.
