이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 6학년 학습자의 문법 태도를 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 위해 폐쇄형 질문 여섯과 개방형 질문 하나로 구성된 설문지를 검사도구로 활용하였다. 연구의 결과로 학생들은 문법은 어렵고 지루하지만 매우 필요하다는 양가적 태도를 지니고 있음이 드러났다. 특히 여학생이 남학생에 비해 문법의 중요성에 대해 더 강한 긍정적 태도를 지니고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 분석 결과를 토대로 학습자의 필요를 중심으로 초등학교 문법 교육 내용을 구성할 것과 교수학적 전략으로 재미있는 활동 중심의 발견 학습, 학생의 질문에서 시작하는 학습 등을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The interest in attitudes in school education is due to the predictive power of attitudes toward behavior. This study focused to investigate the grammar attitude of 6th grade students. The reason is that sixth graders are the period when elementary school education is completed and at the same time, it is the beginning of middle school education. For this study, a questionna ire consisting of six closed questions and one open question was used as a test tool. Results from this study showed that students had an attitude that grammar was difficult and boring but needed. Based on the results of the analysis, the suggestions areas follows: designing the content of grammar education elementary grammar instruction focusing on learner’s needs, and activity-based discovery learning.
