이 연구는 초등 문법교육에서 태도 요소를 어떻게 해석하고 접근할 것인지 그 방향을 가늠하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 초등 문법교육에서 태도 요소를 논의하기위해서 확인해야 할 전제 사항과 의의를 문헌 검토와 교육과정 분석을 통해 정리하였다. 이와 함께 실제적인 현장 경험 자료로서, 각기 성격이 다른 태도 요소에 초점을둔 두 가지 문법 수업을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 초등 문법교육에서 태도 요소는 어떤문법 수업을 지향하느냐에 따라서 전혀 다른 방향의 내용들이 마련될 수 있음을 확인하게 되었다. 문법 학습을 촉진하여 주는 외적인 흥미와 재미가 강조되는 문법 수업과, 문법의 주요 문제를 정면으로 다루면서 지적 탐구 과정에서의 몰입과 희열을 강조하는 문법 수업은, 초등 문법교육에서 태도 요소 중심으로 문법 수업을 설계할 때가능한 대척되는 두 개의 모델이라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 어떤 태도 요소를 구체화하여 실행할 것인지에 대한 답은 단지 태도 요소만을 고려해서는 나오기 힘들다. 결국태도 요소는 초등 문법교육의 가치적 틀을 점검하는 근본적인 작업을 시작하게 하는중요한 개념적 도구라고 할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The present study seeks to find ways in approaching and interpreting attitude factors in the elementary grammar education. In order to meet the purposes, the study examines the presuppositions and their meanings that are necessary in discussing attitude factors through literature reviews and the analysis of curriculum. The study also analyzes two types of grammar teaching focusing on different attitude factors. As a result, it has been proved that attitude factors in the elementary grammar education can have different contents orientation based on the different purpose of the grammar class. The one with the orientation of external interests and the one that deals with core issues of grammar and stresses the academic involvement and pleasure are two contrasting models when designing grammar lessons centering on attitude factors. The answer about what attitude factors to select, organize will hardly be earned just considering attitude factors. In the end, attitude factor works as an important conceptual tool to drive researchers to investigate the fundamental values in elementary grammar education.
