Abstract

This study is about Korean modern poetry as a broad concept of culture; culture is produced and circulated in daily life. I investigate Korean modern poetry in the cultural communication context. Additionally, I reinterpret research methodology of modern poetry, affects communication process (produce, distribute and consume) of Korea modern poetry as the cultural research and cultural practice. For this, I looked into other earlier research critically and propose an alternative sight and an alterative method which research a poem on the cultural studies. Only these alternative are more used for popular culture and mass culture; labor poetry, feminine poetry, kitsch, parody or popular song. But I chose the Korea modern poetry which is a previous canon or pseudo-canon. Nevertheless this method is necessary to be a matter of debate because of proposing an alternative methodology.
