읽기의 시학: 가독성에서 난독성으로 ― 시적 현재의 형성과 변이를 중심으로

본고는 독자와 텍스트를 직접 연결하는 통로를 가정하고 그 길을 모색하기 위한 예비 작업으로서 ‘시적 현재’의 형성과 변이에 대해 논의하였다. 시적 현재가 형성되면서 한국 현대시의 가독성은 증대되었고, 시적 현재를 이루는 시간, 공간, 인간이 변이됨으로써 난독성은 증대됨을 살펴보았다. 난독성은 읽기 행위와 관련이 깊다. 읽기 단계에서부터 시인은 의도적으로 독자를 방해한다. 독자는 시의 의미를 해석해 보려는 시도마저도 주저할 수밖에 없는 특별한 상황을 경험한다. 언어의 해방구로서의 시의 역능을 아이러니하게 난독성의 시만큼 잘 실현하기는 쉽지 않다. 그러나 문제는 ‘언어의 해방’이 텍스트의 언어에 국한된다는 것이다. 독자가 언어의 해방, 언어로부터의 해방을 체험해 보기란 쉽지 않다는 것이다. 난독성을 유발하는 텍스트를 읽어낼 수 있다는 것만으로도 독자는 언어와 언어에 대한 남다른 성취감을 얻을 수 있다. 난독성의 텍스트를 잘 읽어낼 수 있는 하나의 방법으로 제안한 것이 ‘읽기의 시학’이다. 읽기의 시학을 본격적으로 펼치기 위해서 전제되어야 할 것은 시적 현재에 대한 이해이다. 그래서 ‘시적 현재’의 형성 과정을 짚어보았다. 이어서 난독성의 유발 원리를 시적현재의 변형에서 찾아보고자 했다. 시간과 공간과 인간이 변형되거나, 변주․왜곡될 때 발생하는 난독성을 작품을 통해 살펴보았다.
Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to debate about formation and transformation of poetic-present as preliminary work to grope for way between text and reader. It is no exaggeration to say that debates about poetic-lange have progressed aspect of poet mostly. Poetics is to search a process to transform from daily language to poetic-language. Outdated poetics had searched writer’s embodied process. But the newest poetics should have explored reader’s to give shape process. A produces of text who made the stage as ‘poetic-present and the meaning with dynamics is not writer but reader. The term of “Effect” cloud include all like to Intention of writer, meaning of text, influence of reader. In oder to drag up “effect” to the maximum value, we should have to chance discussion that is not writer’s poetics but reader’s poetics, not writing poetics but reading poetics. Desultory reading related to the deep reading. When they can only read the desultory text, Readers can show their achievements. I suggested ‘reading poetics’ as the way that can made read desultory text. First I observed a formation of ‘poetic-present’ that is bassis of reading-poetics. The next, I searched a principle to cause desultory reading that came from formation of poetic-present. If we could make clear up principles of transformation, variation, distortion, from there, reader could try to read desultory text actively.
