본 연구는 백석 시에 나타나는 트랜스퍼스널의 양상에 주목하여 그것이 어떻게 구현되고 있으며 어떤 의미를 갖는지를 고찰하는 데 목적을 두었다. 백석의 시에서 트랜스퍼스널의 양상은 기억의 현재화, 시간과 공간의 합일, 우주적 통찰의 동화로 나타난다. 그의 시에서 기억은 현재와 동떨어져 존재하지 않고 현재의 경험으로 살아난다. 기억 속의 나는 현재경험으로 재탄생 하여 현재의 나와 하나가 된다. 백석의 시에서 자기와 비자기, 보는 자와 보여진 것 사이에는 시간과 공간의 경계가 없는 합일에 이르고 있다. 시간과 공간의 합일은 개인을 넘어선 연결과 존재의 일원성을 보인다. 백석의 시에는 개인의식을 넘어 우주의 품 안에서 모든 존재들과 더불어 같이 호흡할 수 있는 자기초월의 우주의식이 표현되고 있다. 그의 시가 갖는 우주적 통찰의 동화는 존재론적인 기반과 우주론적인 기반에 선 성찰에 의해 형성되고 있다. 이와 같은 트랜스퍼스널 양상에서 두 가지 의미를 확인할 수 있었다. 하나는, 백석의 시에서 자아초월은 현실에서 겪는 절망을 극복해내기 위한 방법으로 현실에 대한 인식에서 생성되고 있다는 점이다. 다른 하나는, 백석의 시가 갖는 자아초월은 창작방법 면에서 새로운 기법의 창출을 이끌어내는 원동력이 되고 있다는 점이다.
Abstract
This study focuses on the aspect of the transpersonal in the poems of Baek Seok and aims to examine how it is implemented and what it means. In the poems of Baek Seok, the aspect of the transpersonal appears as the present of memory, the union of time and space, and the assimilation of universal insight. In his poems, memories do not exist apart from the present but they survive as current experiences. My presence in memory is reborn as a current experience and becomes one with me today. In the poems of Baek Seok, there is no boundary between time and space between self and non - self, the viewer and the seen. The union of time and space shows the unity of connections and existence beyond individuals. The poems of Baek Seok expresses a transpersonal cosmic consciousness that can breathe together with all beings in the arms of the universe beyond personal consciousness. His poetical assimilation of cosmic insights is formed by reflection on the ontological basis and the cosmological basis. Two such implications can be seen in this transpersonal aspect. One is that in the poems of Baek Seok, transpersonal is generated from the perception of reality as a way to overcome despair in reality. The other is that the poems of Baek Seok has become a driving force to create new techniques in terms of creation methods.
