해방 전후 안룡만 시의 노동시로서의 가능성과 특징적 표현 기법

Abstract

This study set out to examine the poetry of Ahn Ryong-main from the perspective of labor poetry to capture the characteristics penetrating his works before and after the Liberation. The study shed new light onto the followings": First, he embodied the working youth subjects positively in his labor poems, thus making a contribution to the embodiment of positive labor heroes advocated in the literary history of North Korea during those days. Their healthy appearances were expressed in accompaniment of spring vitality in most cases. Secondly, his labor poems were characterized by the dominant vivid depiction of working fields, tools, and acts. He contributed to the conveyance of sense of realism found in the fields of labor and construction by describing the specific working fields and atmospheres and the names and uses of tools in detail. Finally, he used the contrast between the dark past and the hopeful present as a dominant time structure in his labor poems. By inserting conversations in the past and present scenes in the form of direct quotation, the poet delivered the liveliness of working field and granted a sense of realism to the recollections of the past. In his poems, the subjects of labor took the shape of "worker-warrior" in most cases and thus functioned as revolutionary warriors to take the lead in socialist construction and complete the socialist revolution. There were no particular changes to his thematic consciousness in his poems after Liberation, but there are a couple of elements to open up the possibility of locating his poetry in the lineage of labor poetry in the literary history after the unification of North and South Korea including the positive manifestation of youth subjects and utilization of symbolicity of spring, the vivid conveyance of sense of realism based on the graphic depiction of working fields and tools, and the exact delivery of thematic consciousness and the conveyance of liveliness by inserting the conversational style when reading his poems as labor poems.
