‘사랑’ 개념에 관한 시적 탐구와 인지 시나리오로서의 시 – 전봉건의 「사랑을 위한 되풀이」를 중심으로

‘전쟁’과 ‘사랑’은 전봉건의 시에 있어서 매우 중요한 주제어라고 할 수 있다. 전봉건은 실제로 한국전쟁 당시 위생병으로 참전하여 전상자로 제대했으며, 전쟁의 포화가 만들어낸 비극적 상황 속에서 자신의 형을 잃기도 한, 전쟁에 이른바 ‘트라우마’를 가질 수밖에 없는 시인이었다. 그가 마주한 전장이 참혹함 그 자체였으리라는 것은 그가 부상자를 치료하는 위생병이라는 사실로도 충분히 추론할 수 있다. 그러나 그는 절망하기보다 사랑을 통해 적극적으로 자신을 치유하는 데 힘을 쏟았으며, 지옥과도 같은 전후 분단의 현실을 견뎌내기 위해 일생에 걸쳐 6ㆍ25에 관해 시화함으로써 사회적으로도 시적 치유의 가능성을 제안했다. 그런 점에서 전봉건의 시는 여전히 전후의 상처가 곳곳에 남아 있는 현실 사회에 시사하는 바가 적지 않다. 본고는 기존의 전후시가 보여준 전쟁의 참혹함을 재현하는 경향을 넘어 ‘사랑’을 주제로 적극적으로 시적 치유의 가능성을 타진했던 전봉건의 시, 그중에서도 「사랑을 위한 되풀이」가 사랑의 탐구를 구심으로 삼는 그의 시세계를 잘 보여주는 대표적인 작품이라고 보고, 그것이 토대로 삼는 사고와 문체적 특징을 함께 읽기 위해 인지시학과 정신분석의 주요 개념을 통해 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 전후 상황에서 ‘희망’을 향한 구도자를 자처한 전봉건의 사랑에 관한 탐구가 「사랑을 위한 되풀이」에 여실히 드러나 있으며, 특히 그것이 은유와 같은 표현뿐만 아니라 ‘되풀이’라는 형식을 통해 제시된다고 보는 데서 출발한다. 「사랑을 위한 되풀이」는 전체 7개의 부분으로 구성되어 있으며, 이는 일종의 사랑에 관한 시나리오로서 제시된 것이고, 각 부분은 중복과 반복의 문체로서 사랑의 입체적인 면모를 하나하나 설득력 있게 보여준다. 그러한 설득력은 은유와 스크립트 등에 의해 확보된다.
Abstract
War and Love can be said to be very important keywords in Jeon, Bonggeon's poem. Jeon, Bonggeon was actually discharged from the military as a wounded soldier during the Korean War, and was a poet who had no choice but to have a so-called ‘trauma’ in the war, losing his brother in a tragic situation created by the fire of the war. The fact that the battlefield he faced must have been disastrous itself can be inferred from the fact that he is a hygienist who treats the injured. However, he focused on actively healing himself through love rather than despair, and suggested the possibility of poetic healing socially by poeticizing about the Korean War throughout his life to endure the reality of hell-like division of war. In this regard, Jeon Bong-gun's poems have many implications for the real society, where post-war wounds still remain. This paper examined Jeon, Bonggeon's poem, which actively explored the possibility of poetic healing under the theme of Love beyond the tendency to reproduce the horrors of war shown by existing post-war poems, especially his marketplace, which focuses on love exploration. This study starts with the view that Jeon, Bonggeon's exploration of love, which claimed to be a composition for ‘hope’ in postwar situations, is clearly revealed in “Repetition for Love”, especially through the form of ‘repetition’ as well as metaphorical expressions. “Repetition for Love” consists of a total of seven parts, which is presented as a kind of scenario about love, and each part is a style of overlap and repetition that convincingly shows the three-dimensional aspect of love one by one. Such persuasive power is secured by metaphors and scripts.
