초록

Olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) (Weight 144.78 ± 17.5 g, Length 24.75 ± 1.2 cm) were ex- posed to waterborne copper at 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 8 mg Cu2+/L for 96 hours. The lethal concentration 50 (LC50) of P. olivaceus exposed to waterborne copper was 4.73 mg Cu2+/L. RBC count, hemoglobin and hematocrit were significantly decreased by waterborne copper exposure. The inorganic plasma component calcium significantly decreased, whereas magnesium levels increased. Among organic com- ponents, glucose and cholesterol levels significantly decreased at higher copper concentrations, while total protein showed no significant change. Regarding enzymatic parameters, AST, ALT, and ALP activities significantly decreased compared with the control group. The results of this study indicate that exposure to waterborne copper can affect the survival, hematological parameters and plasma com- ponents of P. olivaceus.
