Abstract
The purpose of this study was to collect and analyze studies on the motor development for children with visual impairments published in the journals at home and abroad since the 1970s, and to investigate the trends in study based on the analytic results. Ultimately, the purpose was to discuss the study tasks and plans on the motor development for children with visual impairments in the future. This study used a descriptive analysis to analyze the data collected in accordance with final selection standards. It's based on the trends in study on motor development and on the analysis standard variables, Which are related to the factors having an impact on motion development, and to mediation strategy for the solution of the subject of study. Sixteen studies concerning on motor development for children with visual impairments have been reported thus far since the 1970s, and the following directions of study are presented on the basis of analytic results of such prior studies; First, the study on the motor development for children with visual impairments needs to be actively carried out. Second, the study subjects should be considered diversely. Third, an approach to promote motor development should be made from various perspectives. Fourth, diverse early intervention programs should be developed to promote the motor development of children with visual impairments.
