일반 목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 한국 문화 초급 교재 개발의 실제 및 문화 수업 설계 -『문화로 시작하는 한국어』의 ‘한국 문화’ 단원 중심으로-

Abstract

Although research on the importance of cultural education and the need for cultural textbooks in Korean language education is increasing, studies dealing with the practical development and application of cultural textbooks that can be used in the actual Korean language education field are still rare. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present the actual development of Korean Language Starting with Culture, a textbook created for general-purpose beginner learners, and to propose a class design for the `Korean Culture (Concerts, Dramas, Movies, Variety Shows)' unit. To achieve this, the study examines the importance of cultural education and the need for cultural textbooks in Korean language education, the principles of organizing a beginner-level textbook according to the goals of Korean cultural education, the principles and direction of developing a cultural textbook based on `language-focused cultural integration education,' and the practical aspects of the syllabus and unit composition. Furthermore, after conducting culture classes using this textbook for one year and surveying the learners, it has been confirmed that the topic of greatest interest is `Korean Culture (Concerts, Dramas, Movies, Variety Shows).' Consequently, a lesson plan for this unit is presented in the study.
