This paper is a research of translator's 'rewriting', and comparative study forEnglish and Korean translations of Haruki Murakami's novels as well. Thisresearch had compared three texts in English, Korean, and the original(Japanese),and analyzed the difference of Korean and English versions. Japanese to Englishtranslations had shown unique aspects, for instance, recurring miss-translations,intentional omissions and alteration, changes of sentence, and a point of view. The most unique thing of English version is, transform of original texts. English translator changed sentences a lot, for english readers' understanding. As a result, English version became really simple sentences, and parts aboutJapanese culture what English readers do not know are definitely eliminated. It - this 'domestication' of translation - means, translation is a kind ofsituational output, and it can be changed.
