『화용도』의 장르적 성격 연구

Abstract

This essay treats of <Hwayongdo>, particularly genre characteristic of <Hwayongdo>. First of all, this study clarified the transcribed <Hwayongdo> from fiction to Pansori, discriminating between the former and the latter. Pasori <Hwayongdo> reworked the original story, so following process of transformation let us find the transition between the old and the new, even the distinguishing process of characteristic of genre. As the novel and Pansori are different genres, Pansori <Hwayongdo> varies from the War at Chokbyok of the original in some points. Most novels of war story puts heroic myths or hero's life before everything, while <Chokbyokga>, whose story derives from the Chinese novel <Sanguozhiyanyi>, only regards heroism as stuff. The quality of performance & culture was a decisive factor in distinguishing Pasori from novel. This performing and cultural factor makes <Chokbyokga> hero-eliminated entertainment. Through appreciating Pasori on the stage, a character is beginning to gel. The atmosphere on stage fosters interests of itself. Pansori performance describes a realistic character vividly. Full of gesture and expression helps us a figure along enormously.
