Abstract

This paper started as an endeavor to preserve Korean culture property through the discovery and analysis about school’s songs of Chinese-Korean schools in the Chinese-Korean residence, of which population is quickly disappearing. Through two sessions in August 2012 and January 2013, authors collected 37 school songs from existing Chinese-Korean schools to already closed Chinese-Korean schools by going around China LiaoNing Province. This paper’s subject of research is the 37 songs collected from China LiaoNing Chinese-Korean schools. By looking at the subjects of research by historical periods, the school song made in the 2000s have 5 songs which accounts for 13.5%, the school song made in the 1990s have 5 songs which accounts for 13.5%, the school song made in the 1980s have 3 songs which accounts for 8.1% and 21 of the school songs were unknown when made which accounts for 56.7%. By looking at the school’s songs by closed schools and existing schools, the existing schools have 26 songs which accounts for 70.2% and closed schools have 11 songs which accounts for 29.7%. Chinese-Korean schools reflect the period’s background as well as serving various educational purposes. Features of the composer is as follows: First, the school song composers, most did not make much of a composer. Second, Chinese-Korean school’s song in LiaoNing Province, the majority was composed alone. Third, Only One Chinese-Korean Schools were unknown composers. Features of the lyricist are as follows: First, The creative writers, many schools did not the school song. Second, Chinese-Korean school’s song in LiaoNing Province, songwriters of the majority wrote the lyrics alone. Third, school song in some schools have the school’s title. Most of the LiaoNing Chinese-Korean schools founded in the 1990s. we looked at the school song’s lyrics of the Chinese-Korean schools that opened in the 2000s after the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. The school songs of this period, mainly depending on each period’s political changes, can tell us the information’s variety through parise of communist and socialism, school pride and cultivating national spirit.
