Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the category of causative verb in Korean. The notion of causative is that the causer operates on causee directly or indirectly and makes the causee come into a result. We can say that the grammartical causative is grammartical category to realize the causative. Also, causative verb is derived verb combined with causative suffix at the root of declinable word and has declarative function which causer makes the causee come into a result by operating directly or indirectly. We looked into category of causative verb in the view of morphological, syntactic, semantic. As a result, causative verb in Korean is the morphologicaly combined with causative suffix '-i-, -hi-, -li-, -ki-, -u-, -ku-, -chu-' at the root of declinable word, and syntacticaly must keep the case form in adition to the relationship with main verb in meaning.
