초록

기업에서의 영성문제가 기업세계에서 재조망되고 있다. 한 동안 금기시 되었던 기업영성이 새롭게 논의되는 이유는 일차적으로 기업내외의 환경변화에 따른 것이다. 외부적으로는 기업 환경이 복잡하여져서 기존의 경영모형으로는 설명이 어려워지고 있으며 내부적으로는 일에 대한 의미를 추구하는 종업원의 욕구가 커지고 있기 때문이다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 변화를 인식하고 그 의미 및 적용에 대해서 검토한다. 특히 현재 논의되고 있는 기업영성이 기독교에서 의미하는 영성과 다를 수 있음을 지적하며, 기업영성이 도입됨으로 인해 발생하게 되는 긍정적인 면과 부정적인 면도 아울러 논의한다. 마지막으로 이 모든 논의의 전제조건으로 기업의 공동체성이 중요함을 강조한다.

Abstract

Recently spirituality in business has been revisited in the business world. The reason to revive such issues that once was prohibited in the business practice and scholarly works is due to the environmental changes of firms inwardly and outwardly. Since business environment is getting complex outwardly, it is difficult to explain such change with the previous business model only. It is an inward motive that employees desire to find the meaning of work has been increased. This study reviews implication and application of such trends in business. Especially this study indicates the possibile differences between Christian spirituality and business spirituality. Positive and negative outcomes from the spirituality in business is discussed. Finally, it is emphasized that community is a necessary condition upon which all discussion can be made.
