Abstract
With the continuous development of digital technology, virtual travel and digital cultural heritage tours have become important supplements to real tourism. This study applies the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explore the performance of virtual travel experience in terms of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and external variables, and how these factors affect its communication effect in social and online environments. The study analyzes the cases of different virtual travel platforms such as the British Museum, the Vatican Museums, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in the United States, and the Yungang Grottoes. As well as in-depth interviews with relevant personnel, it was found that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are key factors affecting user acceptance and promotion of virtual travel experiences. This study provides a new perspective for virtual tourism research, provides guidance on how to effectively design virtual tourism, and provides theoretical guidance and practical suggestions for the dissemination and promotion of cultural heritage virtual tourism.
