본 연구의 목적은 한국 어린이들의 하나님 개념을 측정하기 위해 한국인에 의해 개발된 측정도구가 없음을 인식하여 신학적으로 건전하고, 발달에 적합하며, 한국 어린이들의 신앙의 특징을 반영한 한국 어린이를 위한 하나님 개념 측정도구를 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구는 ‘어린이 하나님 개념 측정도구의 요인 및 예비문항구성은 어떠한가?’와 ‘어린이 하나님 개념 측정도구의 타당도와 신뢰도는 어떠한가?’라는 연구문제에 답하고자 한다. 하나님 개념 측정도구의 개발은 이론적 배경과 선행 연구를 기초로 측정도구의 요인과 예비문항 구성, 내용 타당도 검사, 예비조사를 통한 신뢰도 검증과 문항수정, 본 연구, 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석을 통한 모델 제시와 모델 적합도 검사의 단계를 거쳤다. 44개의 예비문항에서 출발하여 내용 타당도에서 27문항, 신뢰도 검증 후 25문항으로 정리되었으며, 탐색적 요인분석 결과에서 8개 요인 23문항으로 압축되어 53.37%의 변량을 설명하였고, 확인적 요인분석에서 4개요인 13문항으로 정리되었다. 본 연구는 확인적 요인분석 후 25개에서 13개로 문항이 많이 축소되는 어려움과 모델 적합도 지수 중 기준에 도달하지 못한 점수가 부분적으로 나타난 아쉬움을 드러냈다. 하지만 본 연구는 어린이들을 위한 하나님 개념 설문지가 국내에서 처음으로 개발되었다는 점과 사회과학 연구에서 요구되는 측정도구 개발의 모든 절차를 밟았다는 연구의 기여도와 의의를 갖는다.
Abstract
This study was conducted because, currently, there is no instrument for measuring a child's concept of God, in Korea. The purpose of this study was to develop a God-concept instrument for Korean children that is theologically sound, developmentally appropriate, and reflective of the characteristics of Korean children's God concept revealed from previous research. The problems of this study were to determine the factors and generate an item pool of questions. A further problem for this study was to analyze the instrument in terms of item discrimination, validity, and reliability. The development of the instrument proceeded systematically—generating factors and an item pool, a content validity test, a reliability test through a pilot study and item revision, data collection, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and testing a model fit. Using a validity test, 27 questions were derived from an initial 44. A reliability test narrowed these 27 to 25. From these, an 8-component, 23 questions were extracted using an exploratory factor analysis test with a total of 53.37% of variance, and, finally, 4 components, including 13 questions were distilled from a confirmatory factor analysis test. This study showed the difficulty of a radical reduction from 25 questions to 13 questions through confirmatory factor analysis, and a few model fit indices that do not meet the criteria. This study, however, is significant because it is the first attempt to develop a God-concept instrument for Korean children by a Korean, and takes every step required in the social science field, in developing an instrument.
