자본주의적 가부장제 사회의 차별과 억압으로부터 어떻게 벗어날 것인가를 고민하는 것은 공론장의 정치적 논제이자 정치적 행위의 실천적 목적이다. 이러한 고민은 차별과 억압의 1차적 피해자인 여성의 몫이며, 이들을 실천적 전위로 이끌기 위해 교육하는 것은 페미니즘의 몫이다. 페미니즘 페다고지는 젠더에 씌워진 가면(남성-되기, 여성-되기, 판타즘)을 벗고 올바른 젠더 의식을 함양하기 위해 노력해야 한다. 이를 위한 교육 방법론으로 에로스적 관계의 대화를 요구한다. 이것은 서로를 적대가 아닌 관심의 대상으로 삼는 에로스적 관계에서 좋은 삶을 추구하는 것이며, 교사와 학생은 그 안에서 서로의 학문적 욕구를 채우기 위해 자유롭게 대화하고자 노력해야 한다. 이를 위해 우리는 남성-되기 혹은 여성-되기의 일방적 승리 투쟁이 아니라 자신의 존재-되기를 가능하게 하는 모두를 위해 투쟁해야 한다. 그렇게 된다면 자기 삶의 정치적 주체로서 차별과 억압에서 벗어나 자기답게 존재-되기의 정치적 행위의 자유를 누리게 될 것이며, 페미니즘 페다고지는 신뢰사회로 나가는 데 중요한 교육 방법론으로 자리매김하게 될 것이다.
Abstract
Reflecting on how to escape the discrimination and oppression of a capitalist patriarchal society is both a political issue of the public sphere and a practical aim of political action. Such reflection is the responsibility of women, the primary victims of discrimination and oppression, and educating them to become the practical vanguard is the role of feminism. Pedagogy of Feminism must strive to remove the masks imposed on gender (becoming-male, becoming-female, phantasm) and cultivate a proper gender consciousness. To achieve this, the pedagogical approach demands dialogical engagement through an eros-based relationship. It entails seeking the good life through an eros-centered relationship that treats the other as an object of concern rather than hostility, with teachers and students endeavoring to engage in free dialogue to satisfy their mutual scholarly aspirations. Accordingly, our struggle should not be for the one-sided triumph of becoming-male or becoming-female, but for enabling the becoming of one’s own existence in a way that affirms the becoming of all. In that case, as political subjects of their own lives, individuals will be freed from discrimination and oppression and enjoy the freedom of authentically becoming-being; Pedagogy of Feminism will thus serve as one of the important educational methodologies for advancing toward a society of trust.
