남북한 현대문학사 인식의 거리 -북한의 일제 강점기 문학사 재검토

Abstract

This study analyzed the aesthetics, system, structure of statements in Joseon History of Literature(2000) of North Korea in an attempt to compare the books on the modern history of literature between the two Koreas. The history of literature books in the South Korea, including New Lecture on the Korean History of literature(2009) focused on the author and works, rather than the ideology, and they are rooted in the ideology of liberalism and nationalism. By contrast, history of literature books in the North Korea are characterized by the ideology of patriotism founded on the ideology of proletarian literature rooted in the Marxism and Leninism and the Juche(self-reliance) ideology. In relation to the methods of art, South Korea puts an emphasis on the realism and modernism,while North Korea heavily focuses on the socialistic realism based on the Juche realism founded on Juche ideology. For that reason, there is a considerable difference in the statements about the literatures created during Japanese Colonial Period of Korean Peninsula. However, it is noticeable that a considerable errors were corrected and rectified in the Joseon History of Literature published in 2000, though Joseon History of Literature published in 1977 committed an error of writing excessively about the ‘chieftain literature’ and ‘anti-Japanese revolutionary literature’. Specifically, it is worthy of noting that some proletarian literature and nationalistic literature which have been ignored for two decades were restored. However, strategic literature exchange between the two Koreas has become all the more desperate as the integration of history of literature between the two Koreas has still remained difficult since 2000s as the characteristics of ‘military-first revolutionary literature’ became intense.
