이 연구의 목적은 독립운동가 기념관이 전시를 통해 전달하고자 하는 것을 이용자에게 효과적으로 전달하고 기념관을 되살리는 것에 있다. 이에 따라 기념관 전시의 현황을 조사하였으며, 기록물 관리 체계의 부재, 소장 기록물의 부재, 예산 확보의 어려무, 전시 형태의 고정성 등을 문제점으로 발견하였다. 이러한 문제들을 개선하기 위한 대책으로서, 전시 효과를 높이기 위한 체계적인 기록물 관리 방안과 실질적인 기념관 전시의 개선을 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 독립운동가를 기리기 위한 독립운동가 기념관의 전시 개선을 통하여 독립운동가와 기념관의 가치와 의미를 이용자에게 전달하고 독립운동가와 기념관에 대한 고정관념을 극복할 수 있도록 한다. 나아가 이용자에 전시를 통해 피드백을 제공함으로써 효과적으로 그 시대상을 전달할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제시한 전시 개선 방안들은 독립운동가 기념관의 현황을 바탕으로 제안한 것이다. 하지만 독립운동가 기념관에 한정하지 않고 다양한 인물 기념관의 상황에 맞게 적용이 가능하다. 이러한 개선을 선행하여 독립운동가 기념관이 다른 인물 기념관의 전시에 있어 사례로 이용된다면 이것 또한 독립운동가 기념관의 위상이 개선되는 계기로 작용될 수 있다고 생각한다.
Abstract
The ultimate purpose of managing archives is to offer them for use. Archives exhibition, one of the methods offering archives for use, implies conveying the meanings and symbolic representations of the archives to users, and a meaning to convey the archives to users by the institution concerned. This study on the archives exhibition to reinvigorate independence activist memorial halls aims to enable to convey the meanig and symbolic represetation of independence activists to the future generartions. In addition, the purpose of this study is to convey what the independence activist memorial halls intend to deliver through the exhibition of archives and to reinvigorate the memorial halls through such an exhibition. According to the purpose of this study, exhibition status carrid out by those memorial halls was analyzed through questionnaire surveys, interview with, and fiedl trip investigations of the independence activeis memorial halls, designated as memorial facilities, and their staff, and also interviews with other institutions' staff. As a resulf, the following five problems were identified: the lack of recognition and system of archives management by the memorial halls, insufficient archives, difficulties in securing budgets, routine exhibition type, and the lack of users' exhibition evaluation. As measures to improve those problems, preparation for the means to enhance exhibition effects and a framework to compose exhibition emphasizing the characteristics of those independence activist memorial halls were presented. For the means to enhance exhibition effects, this study tried to devise the basis of composing and planning exhibitions efficiently prior to exhibitions though preparation for an archives management system, cooperation with other institutions, and the adoption of efficient users' exhibition evaluation. For exhibition emphasizing the characteristics of those memorial halls, this study propelled reinvigoration by changing the routine exhibitions through devising the measures to improve such generally routine exhibitions, the archives exhibition of alienated independence activits, the use of various exhibition methods, and user-participatory exhibition, together with actual cases. People regard independence activist memorial halls as jsut spaces to commemorate independence activist, to offer independence actvist' life-based exhibition and to educat. Through exhibition improvement , the values of the independence activists and the information and meanings of he memorial halls' archives should be effectively offered by overcoming stereotypes and providing feedbacks on the users, independence activists, and the memorial halls.
