여느 메타데이터 분야와 마찬가지로 기록관리 메타데이터도 단층구조로만 많이 사용되고 있는 실정이다. 메타데이터의 용도 중, 기록의 관리에만 치우쳐서 그 본래의 취지 중 하나인 ‘검색의 효율성’과 ‘접근성 강화’에는 대처하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 첫째, 메타데이터를 효율적으로 사용하여 상호운용성 확보하고 기존의 문서 위주 기록관리에서 탈피하여 개념 위주의 역동적인 기록관리 메타데이터를 해야 할 필요가 있다는 논리적 근거를 제시하고, 둘째, 기록관리의 원동력인 메타데이터를 효율적으로 결합하여 맥락정보를 향상시키고 타 시스템과 통합시킬 수 있는 시맨틱 모델을 제안한다. 이에 모든 기록을 중심으로 복잡하게 보이는 현상을 덜 복잡하게, 공통점을 중심으로 분류한 다음 개념화를 통해서 그 개념들 사이에 관계를 맺어줄 개념모델이 필요했으며 그 대상으로 RiC메타데이터 요소를 분석하고 그에 대한 문제점을 제시하였다. 이 연구는 우리나라 기록물 메타데이터에서 관계성 정보가 부족한 것에 대한 대안이 될 수 있을 것이다. 나아가 기록 메타데이터에 대한 이해를 돕고 시맨틱 측면에서의 활용에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
Abstract
Like all metadata fields, record management metadata is often used only in a single layer structure. Among the uses of metadata, the focus was on managing records, and did not cope with one of its original intentions: "efficiency of search" and "enhanced accessibility." In this study, first, we present the logical basis that it is necessary to add the concept-based dynamic records management metadata to secure interoperability by efficiently using metadata and to break away from the existing document-oriented records management. We propose a semantic model that can effectively combine metadata, the driving force of management, to improve contextual information and integrate with other systems. Therefore, we needed a conceptual model to classify the complex phenomena that seemed complicated by all the records, and to relate the concepts through conceptualization, and then analyzed the RIC ontology elements. This study could be an alternative to the lack of relational information in Korean record metadata, and it is expected to contribute to the understanding of the record metadata and its use in semantics.
