사십구재의 시식문 활용에 대한 고찰

Abstract

Sisikmun of the Sasipgujae (a praying ritual for 49 days of memorial for the deceased’s soul) facilitates Jeonsisik, Gwaneum Sisik and Sangyongyoungban (briefly made ceremony). Jeonsisik in the initial publication is Jeungsuseong yosisikoimun of Mongsandeoki in the 3th century and Gwaneum Sisik is confirmed in Gwongongjebanmun, published by Seokwang-sa in 1574. In particular, it is considered that Jeonsisik and Gwaneum Sisik were written together on Gwongongjebanmun as there is a need for Gwangryok for facilitating for Sisikmun. Jeonsisik is well matched with Daeryong for the universal principle of ancestral soul and Gwaneum Sisik that has perfect procedure is for the Younggagwonban, such as memorial ceremony for ancestors. Also, Sangyongyoungban was recorded in simple Gwonban procedure by Baekpageumseon in Jakbeopgugang in 1827 in a way of establishing the ‘Large-Medium-Small’ concept of Sisikmun. The facilitation of this Sisikmun is displayed differently for its use depending on the ritual succession of the Yeungnam and Gyeonggi regions. The published ritual statement of Yeungnam records Jeonsisik with Gwaneum Sisik as appendix, or there is certain unlisted ritual statement but published ritual statement of Gyeonggi is known to record only Gwaneum Sisik. Also, in the Yeungnam region, ceremony of universal principle facilitates Jeonsisik as the memorial service ritual, and it facilitates Hwaeom Sisik (Hwaeom Food Offering) for Mujugohon (a forlorn wandering spirit that has no posterity to perform the memorial service) of 1 Jae (upavasatha) through 6 Jae (upavasatha), and Sangyongyoungban when finishing up the harvest ceremony of 7 Jae (upavasatha). This is determined for facilitating Sisikmun depending on the purpose with the subject of ancestral soul. in the Gyeonggi region, the ritual ceremony for universal principle that has clear subject of ancestral soul facilitates the Gwaneum Sisik, or if the time is pressed, it facilitates Sangyongyoungban, and it facilitates Jeonsisik for Mujugohon, and if there is shortage of time, it facilitates Hwaeom Sisik. Such facilitation of Sisikmun should be opted depending on the purpose of ceremony for ancestral soup, not to rationalize the time pressure as the Gyeongiejik (see the signs to take appropriate action).
