Abstract

This study attempted to understand the direct effect of leader’s abusive supervision and the mediating effect of work-family conflict to family undermining, and to verify the moderating effect of work-family boundary strength and resilience. As a result of the study, first, the direct effect of abusive supervision on family undermining was found to be insignificant. Second, it was confirmed that abusive supervision improved work-family conflict and work-family conflict increased family undermining, and the complete mediating effect of abusive supervision increasing family undermining through work-family conflict was supported. Third, the effect of work-family conflict on family undermining was confirmed as the moderating effect of resilience, which was reduced when the level of resilience was high. This study suggests the need to theoretically expand existing research and manage dark aspects of leadership such as abusive supervision by propose that future research can have an impact on the family domain. Based on the research results, theoretical and practical implications were presented, and the limitations of this study and the suggestion of future research were proposed.
